Not every moon set is the same; some are warm moons, some cool moons. They all vary depending upon the atmosphere, angle, timing of night, and relationship to the time of sunrise. What I strive for is the immediacy of the moment; to capture the tones, and relationships of the colors and shapes before me.
I don't want all the information nature is giving me, but seek only just enough information that will help me interpret the subject in my studio. It is there I will work from memory, to develop it further, and get to the configuration of my subject. It is a deeper truth I seek to realize and express the appreciation for being in the Earth.
