Stearns Wharf, Santa Barbara, May 2011. Here comes the fog, and there goes the sun...
Painting doesn't seem like fun.
When this whinny whimpering has begun, it's time for an attitude adjustment; or for a so called, "WHISTLER WHOOPIN'!"
Researching the life of James McNeil Whistler, one will find a new way to look at light. He called these gray days, "Silvery" days.
So, on days like this, it's time to simplify one's palette. Blending compliments together to make gray tones (mute the colors), and like Whistler suggested, apply your paint, "Like Breath on Glass".
